FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS!
Asphalt is more cost effective over the long term. Asphalt can last many years if installed correctly. In our Colorado climate, winter snow removal and snow melt is achieved with greater ease with asphalt.
Sub-grade compaction is essential to the longevity of asphalt. Road base, added when needed, gives optimal compaction.
Absolutely. You cannot achieve one without the other.
Yes, but it will last for only a short time. Over time the area not compacted can settle and the asphalt will heave and possibly crack, undermining the integrity of the asphalt.
Standard depth is a compacted 3 inches.
Yes, at an additional cost per each 2 inches.

Each project varies depending upon size. Most of the time spent on an asphalt project is in the preparation phase. This phase should not be rushed. Speed in this area does not represent experience or quality. We will do our best to work with any time constraints within reason.
We ask that all of our customers remain off of a new asphalt project for 24 hours.
Yes. In order to maintain the necessary oil levels in asphalt for longevity, we highly recommend a seal coat for this maintenance.
No. It is usually only a fraction of the cost of the original asphalt installation price.
We suggest every 4-5 years. It can be done on a more frequent basis only if previous seal coat application has worn off. This can be identified when the appearance of the asphalt is light or grey in color. Too frequent application of seal coat will cosmetically damage your asphalt driveway.
